IDAD on the Road: A Story Worth Hearing Again

It’s time we reintroduce ourselves.

At IDAD, we’ve been quietly doing what we do best since 2002 – Investment Design And Distribution (IDAD).  It’s more than just our name, it’s what we’ve built our business on.  For over two decades, we’ve been designing and delivering investment solutions with consistency, discipline and a track record we’re genuinely proud of.

Longevity matters in this market.  It speaks to resilience, adaptability and, most importantly, trust.  Markets evolve, sentiment shifts and regulation tightens, but through it all, IDAD has stayed focused on delivering well-designed, transparent investment solutions that advisers can understand and clients can rely on.

So why reintroduce ourselves now?

Because, if we’re honest, we may well have been one of the best-kept secrets in the market.

That is starting to change.  In recent months, we’ve spent more time on the road, particularly alongside Bankhall’s Wealth Development Days, meeting advisers face-to-face, having proper conversations and, crucially, listening.  These events are always brilliantly well run and genuinely enjoyable, and it is a pleasure to support Bankhall at events around the country.

Those conversations have been both encouraging and revealing.

Encouraging, because there is still a clear appetite for structured products and deposits when they are properly explained.  Revealing, because many advisers have either not come across IDAD before or have stepped back from using structured solutions in recent years.

In some cases, that reflects a change in regulatory interpretation or a more cautious compliance culture.  That is understandable.  Advisers need to feel confident that every recommendation stands up to scrutiny and supports good client outcomes.

But what we have also found is that many of the old assumptions around structured products no longer hold when the discussion is revisited properly.  The market has matured.  Product design has improved.  Transparency is stronger, and when structured solutions are assessed in today’s context, they can still play a valuable role in portfolios where they are suitable.

That is where IDAD comes in.

We pride ourselves on keeping things structured, but also sensible.  Thoughtful design, robust counterparties and clear communication sit at the heart of what we do.  We do not believe in unnecessary complexity or over-engineering.  Our focus is on solutions that are designed to meet real client needs in a straightforward, disciplined way.

The track record matters too.  Over the years, we have delivered consistent outcomes across a wide range of market conditions.  That does not happen by accident, it comes from experience, careful structuring and a deep understanding of how to build products that are both resilient and relevant.

Perhaps most importantly, the conversations we are having are no longer just about what we have done, but about what comes next.

Advisers are looking for dependable solutions in an uncertain world.  Clients want clarity, defined outcomes and income where appropriate.  Structured products and deposits, when used correctly, can help meet those needs in a way that is disciplined and transparent.

Our job is to make that case clearly, honestly and confidently.
